Let’s transform your garden into a charming party venue!
Choosing Your Aesthetic
The first step in planning your garden party is deciding on the aesthetic. Every garden party can have its unique charm.
For my event, I was inspired by Queen Charlotte and Bridgerton, so I went for a Bridgerton-inspired look. I was particularly captivated by the elegance and charm of Bridgerton.
To capture this vibe, I chose pastel colors and incorporated fresh flowers into the decor. Additionally, you can add small butterfly motifs to the decoration, which adds a whimsical touch reminiscent of the series.
Invitations and Setting the Tone
Once you have your theme and color scheme, it’s time to invite your guests and set the tone for the event. You can create invites on Canva email the invitations and provide details about the event.
This also allowed me to set expectations regarding the dress code and overall vibe of the party, ensuring everyone was on the same page.
To plan the event efficiently, I used various online resources. Pinterest was a great source of inspiration, and I also used ChatGPT to help create an itinerary of activities for the day. I
If you want to elevate the Bridgerton vibe, consider hiring a violinist. However, if you’re on a budget, you can download violin and piano covers of popular songs from Apple Music, which still gives off that elegant Bridgerton feel.
Decorations and Table Setup
Decorating for the garden party was one of the most enjoyable parts of the process.
You can purchase many items from Amazon and locally, but you can also repurpose things you already own or find at thrift stores to stay within budget.
For the table covers, you can use cloth-like disposables. However, if you prefer reusable items, regular dinnerware is a good option.
For my Bridgerton garden party, I purchased unique vases and glassware to decorate the table, aiming for a tea party aesthetic with lots of floral and fun pieces in my color scheme.
Floral Arrangements
No garden party is complete without beautiful flowers. I bought a variety of flowers from Sam’s Club and Publix, which are both affordable options.
I also created a bouquet station where guests could wrap their floral arrangements as a fun activity. To do this, I purchased floral bouquet wraps from Amazon, ensuring everyone could take home a beautiful bouquet.
Menu and Refreshments
A garden-themed menu adds a special touch to the event. I created three specialty cocktails that matched the garden theme. Here are some of the items I included:
- Specialty Cocktails: I used dried lavender (from Publix) and edible flowers (grown from Home Depot) to garnish the drinks.
- Desserts: Plain cupcakes from Publix, topped with fresh fruit to give them a fresh, floral look.
I DIYed several elements to add a personal touch.
For example, I grew edible flowers ahead of time, which served both as decor and garnish for drinks. This not only saved money but also added a unique and personal element to the party.
Conclusion
Planning a garden party, especially one inspired by Bridgerton, can be a lot of fun. With careful planning and a bit of creativity, you can create an elegant and memorable event.
From choosing the aesthetic and sending invitations to setting up decorations and planning the menu, every step contributes to the overall success of your party.
